

BALLET
Ballet 1
This beginner class builds on our creative movement program as young dancers progress into their first steps in classical ballet. It may be paired with beginner acrobatics and/or beginner tap classes.
Ballet 1/2 / Acro
This class progresses children in their ballet training and culminates with acrobatic and strength-building exercises.
Ballet 2/3
This beginner/intermediate ballet class focuses on alignment, basic movement mechanics, and the fundamentals of ballet technique. Students will learn a range of classical ballet barre exercises. Centre work will focus on use of port de bras, classical positions, turns, jumps, and combinations.
Ballet/Pointe
This intermediate/advanced ballet class requires a strong foundation in ballet. Students will work to refine technique, build strength, and transition into pointe work.
Advanced Ballet
This class, currently taught in the Cuban/Vaganova tradition, challenges students with increasingly complex combinations and more rigorous demands in preparation for performance, ballet competitions, college studies, and dance careers.
Teen/Adult Ballet
This intermediate class is suitable for adults with prior ballet training, as well as for teens who are building their ballet foundations. Instruction stresses alignment and basic movement mechanics as applied to classical ballet barre and centre work. Students can expect a full range of combinations, from adagio to jumps to turns, which can be modified to meet individual needs.
ACROBATICS
Acrobatics
Designed for young dancers, these classes introduce students to basic acrobatic skills, with a focus on conditioning, upper body strength, total body coordination, inversions, cartwheels, bridges, and partner balances.
Alignment & Conditioning
This class, geared for more advanced dancers, teaches students to apply various movement modalities to build strength, develop better alignment, and prevent injuries. Disciplines taught include: Pilates, yoga, Laban/Bartenieff fundamentals, stretch and release technique, HIIT workout, and therapeutic barre.


TAP & JAZZ
Jazz
This intermediate/advanced class exposes students to a range of jazz techniques and choreographers including Broadway style, Fosse, Luigi, and Giordano techniques.
Tap Basics
In this entry-level class, students learn use of specialized shoes and steps that are at the core of tap dancing—tap, flap, shuffle, dig, stomp-stamp, and ball change.
Junior Tap
This intermediate tap technique class builds on prior knowledge and introduces students to more complex sounds, movements, and combinations.
Senior Tap
A strong knowledge of tap techniques and terminology is required for this advanced class,
Advanced Tap Technique – a strong knowledge of Tap terminology and technique is used in this class.
MODERN, LYRICAL, CONTEMPORARY & HIP-HOP
Modern/Acro
This class introduces students to classic modern dance techniques. Instruction focuses on principles such as: use of the torso; contract and release; fall and recovery; planes of movement; shape study and improvisation. Basic acrobatic skills are incorporated.
Modern & Improvisation
This class builds on the modern/acro foundations, offering students a more in-depth study of modern dance principles. Improvisation is explored through structure, music and inspiration.
Hip-Hop Basics
This dynamic, street-dance style combines strong rhythms, a variety of techniques like popping, locking, and breaking. Movements are full body, rhythmic and percussive.
Lyrical
Lyrical is a form of jazz that blends the fluidity of ballet with the rhythmic, dynamic movements of jazz. It focuses on storytelling and musical interpretation for a graceful, yet powerful, performance.
