Alyce Bochette
Director

Alyce Bochette began her childhood studies under her mother Jeanne Bochette and continued with Oleg Briansky, Thomas Armour, Jean Spear and in England with Nesta Brooking. Scholarships received include Joffrey School, Ron Forella Jazz and NYU Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a B.F.A. Dance Major. Alyce has performed, toured and taught nationally and internationally with major modern companies: Rachel Lampert, May O’Donnell, Doug Varone, and Mark Morris, and has appeared on Bravo, CBS Cable and A&E. Alyce served as Modern faculty with USF, CLCA Dance Departments, Florida Dance Masters, as well as traveling extensively for choreographic and master class engagements. She teaches Core Dynamics Pilates and is accomplished in Cecchetti Ballet Certification and Angel of the Arts Nominee. Her SRO premier of “Salvage,” a collaboration of modern dance, poetry, film, fabric and light at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, made 2010 a pinnacle year. Notable in 2007, Art Royal performance of “Tangled,” a tango collaboration, in 2011 projects were “What If…” with Bochette Dancers and Sarasota-based Moving Ethos, Sam Shepherd’s “Savage/Love” directed by Stuart Brown, performed with FSW Theater Students and in 2023 “Future Perfect” a collaborative dance performance for Inaugural Fort Myers Fringe Festival.

Ms. Alyce is currently director for Dance Bochette. She is honored to meet her students each week. Assuredly Mrs. Bochette a..k.a Miss BoJean, would be incredibly proud of all Dance Bochette students in today’s performance and all accomplishments this season.

Jill Guenther

Jill Guenther began to study dance under her mother, June Voelker, in Buffalo, NY. She became the youngest member of the Buffalo Ballet, directed by Kathleen Croften, where she was seen and chosen to perform with the famed Bolshoi Ballet as they toured New York state. Since moving to Florida, she joined Florida Ballet Arts in Sarasota, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing based in London, England, and Florida Dance Masters. She formerly owned Ballet Center of Sarasota, was director of Creative Minds Montessori School in Fort Myers, has taught elementary ages in public school and is currently the dance teacher at Gateway Charter School. Ms. Jill has been faculty at Studio Bochette for over 40 years, continuing her love for teaching dance and performance.

Jennifer Reed

Ballet

Jennifer Reed is a storyteller who uses words and movement to convey ideas. At Dance Bochette, she instructs teen dancers with an emphasis on the artistry of ballet and develops new choreography designed to challenge her students while showcasing their strengths. Outside the studio, she is Editorial Director for Naples Botanical Garden and a longtime Southwest Florida journalist covering the people, places, ideas, and issues that distinguish our community. Jennifer studied ballet under numerous teachers in her native Massachusetts and Florida and is proud to have been on the faculty of Dance Bochette since 2003.

Eddy Borges
Contemporary
Ballet

Eddy Borges was born in Cuba and danced with Ballet de Camaguey, choreographed for the Company and Ballet School of Camaguey, was Principal Dancer of Ballet Centro de Artes of Guayaquil and Primer Bailarin of Ballet Nacional of Ecuador. He also danced with Compania Nacional de Dance of Ecuador, formerly Contemporary Dance, before coming to the United States to join the San Antonio Ballet. He has trained and coached at Professional Ballet School Vicentina de la Torre Camaguey, Escuela Metropolitana de Danza Ecuador and Quenedit Ballet School in San Antonio. Eddy is a popular instructor in our community, joining Dance Bochette faculty in 2022.

Samantha Vos grew up dancing at Miss Kelly’s Dance Center. She is a Cypress Lake Center for the Arts dance major graduate and continues to work with the CLCA students as a featured choreographer. She attended the American Dance Festival Summer Intensive on scholarship and the National High School Dance Festival multiple times. She was a member of award-winning “Future Perfect” performed on the inaugural Fringe Festival Fort Myers in 2023. Samantha joined the Faculty of Dance Bochette faculty in 2021 and Coastal Dance Company in early 2024. She received her AA degree from Florida SouthWestern State College in Spring 2024. Ms. Sam shares her precision and expertise in Tap, her love of expressive dance in Lyrical, and her sense of funk and spunk in Hip Hop with our students who love her!

Gloria Hanneken

Modern Assistant

Gloria Hanneken joined Dance Bochette full of “Dance-ability” when she was four years old. She has grown from her pre-ballet days through tap, modern, acrobatics, jazz and contemporary and is our Graduating Senior this season. Gloria excels and is featured at Florida Dance Masters Conventions, multiple competitions throughout Florida, RISE Symposium, YAGP as well as in summer intensives with Next Generation, Ballet Met Sarasota Ballet and The Joffery Ballet School. Gloria shares her love of dance with our littlest dancers, our Modern classes, her colleagues, and the community at large through her mission outreach. On scholarship this summer she will attend United Ballet Theatre’s Summer Intensive in Orlando. This fall she pursue her AA at FSW and will continue as a leader with our Creative Dance faculty.

Dina Tigeleiro
Performance Group Choreographer

Dina Tigeleiro is a native of Jupiter, Florida, and has over ten years of experience in choreography, performance, and dance instruction in a wide variety of styles. She minored in Dance at the University of Florida, while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Astronomy. Dina has performed works with professional dance companies Stuart Pimsler Dance and Theater Company, Jon Lehrer Dance Company, and Sarasota Contemporary Dance. She has trained extensively in both Horton Technique and Lehrer Technique, which she emphasizes in her instruction and choreography. Dina’s teaching certifications include Ballet (Florida Dance Masters, Progressing Ballet Technique), and Acro (Acrobatic Arts). She joined Dance Bochette Faculty in 2020. Ms. Dina and husband Mike are proud Mom and Dad to Bradley.

Jeanne Bochette
Founder

Jeanne Bochette established Studio Bochette in 1951. Today connntinuing as Dance Bochette we are celebrating 73 years in dance education. Mrs. Bo-Jean has been called “the Dancer’s Teacher” — her core belief in blending dance with the student’s goals in life’s pursuits continues in our school.

Her career encompassed New York shows, Ballet Royal, study in USA and England and certification in Cecchetti Ballet System, Tap and Jazz.

She is honored with separate awards from Florida Dance Masters, Florida Dance Association and Rollins College for Lifetime Acheivement. For community leadership, she is recipient of Alliance “Angel of the Arts” Awards for both Lifetime Acheivement, Teacher of the Year and honored as a “Grand Dame” in 2010.
